Bade Mahadev

he history of Mahadev in Pachmarhi is rooted in Hindu mythology, primarily with the Bade Mahadev Cave and Jatashankar Temple. Legend states that Lord Vishnu, in the form of Mohini, defeated the demon Bhasmasur inside the Bade Mahadev cave. The Jatashankar temple is believed to be a hiding place for Lord Shiva while he was being pursued by Bhasmasur.
